Review of Forrest Gump (1994) by Tom F — 25 Nov 2014
A fantastic movie that celebrates the good times and bad in 20th century America. Though Forrest Gump is a slow witted and naive person he is also moral and sensible. The film's message comes across as morality triumphing intelligence as the "smarter" characters seem to not have as good an understanding of life's true meaning as he does.
The film tries to tell us that happiness and morality are more important than pleasure and wealth. Great acting, great message, great story, great characters, very well made, Forrest Gump is a must see.
