Review of Flags of Our Fathers (2006) by John B — 13 May 2011
This film blew me off my feet like few I have ever seen. Watched shortly after Eastwood's film detailing the Japanese side of this battle (Letters from Iwo Jima), this one "got me". The human spirit is captured like no film I have ever seen; both the reality and unreality of war, government, and politics make this one an "Instant Classic" for my vault.
