Review of First Blood (1982) by Douglas L — 15 Nov 2011
I love the concept of the hunter becomes the hunted. This film is just pure greatness. It has somewhat of a cult status to it, not only does it have good action, it also shows survival and combat tactics and real depth to an action character, and this is where you see it rather than other Rambo films, feeling betrayed by his own country and having no one, so he must be alone, depressed and sad.
Sly definitely made a bigger name for himself with this film. First Blood will always remain one of my favourite films. Looking back, the sequels were fine, but a prequel would have been nice.
