Review of Exotica (1994) by Mike T — 04 Sep 2007
"Everybody knows the dice are loaded, everybody rolls with their fingers crossed." The first half of this film is uncomfortable for its voyeurism and the second for its emotional pain. Blows me away everytime I see it.
Bruce Greenwood's performance is harrowing. Mia Kirshner is spellbinding as is Don McKellar. The story is beautifully interwoven. Heart breakingly warm.
