Review of eXistenZ (1999) by Kelly S — 23 May 2012
My favorite film of all time. A darkly twisted exploration of our contemporary media culture and our contemporary fragmented reality where Cronenburg represents himself as the ultimate director posing as a games designer only to assassinate himself for the part that he plays as an actor in our media world (film maker).
A continuously self reflexive script which is complemented by a real world art department of the highest order. (no cgi ) . Pure genius and very funny esp Jude Law having his body "penetrated.".
