Review of Examined Life (2008) by Joanna R — 22 Jan 2010
Judith Butler and Avital Ronell had the most interesting parts. A bit too much talk about "meaning", but overall it could have been much worse. The social engagement of these people is the most striking, but maybe that also makes their messages sound a bit like commercialized slogans, even though they are absolutely right.
It may be a bit too smooth sometimes.
