Review of Evil Dead Trap (1988) by Ante P — 31 Jan 2008
One of the very strangest movies ever to come out of the Far East is the highly original 'Evil Dead Trap'. There are some pretty obvious influences at work but as a whole 'Trap' looks like a whole different paintjob.
Imagine Sam Raimi, Cronenberg and Argento all rolled into one, plus the influence of the modern Asian shockers and you might get some idea about this. A very clever yet twisted entry to the 'Japanese Splatter' genre.
Worthy of some attention.
