Review of Escobar: Paradise Lost (2014) by Jorge Z — 26 Jun 2015
Escobar: Paradise Lost was a huge surprise for me, for one I didn't know it was in theaters till today. Though I liked it a lot, I was wishing it were more of a Pablo Escobar story than it was a dull canadian Josh Hutcherson surfing guy story, because Benicio Del Toro blew it out of the park playing the druglord/caring uncle, charming yet intimidating.
Expect glorification of the man, it was quite the dramatic and really suspenseful film throughout especially the last hour, in which is Hutcherson shining moment.
