Review of Eight Miles High (2007) by Robert H — 10 Sep 2010
I don't like memoirs to start with. I despise the hippie era of 60's and 70's. Hence, not one movie describing that epoch earned my respect. It seems like any movie about the hippie years is the same, it has the same time-line, same events.
Everyone's on drugs, revolutions that never happen, everyone's naked and everyone's fucking each other. I think half of the movie there was someone naked in one scene or another. Hell, even Matthias Schweighofer was.
For the first hour of the movie I was waiting for something intriguing to happen that would drag me in, but the whole movie just kept the same vibe that made me wonder when is it all gonna end. The actor performances weren't too great either.
Very disappointing.
