Review of Edmond (2006) by Sam D — 05 Jun 2009
Mamet's most enjoyable film, to me. Macy is extraordinary and Stuart Gordon expertly directs this. Love the dark comedy throughout. Nobody makes this kinda movie anymore, and it's a shame, because then movies like these subsequently stick out like a sore thumb, and people think they're 'bad' just because they're unusual.
It's a very 70's film. Woulda been received a lot better in that era.
