Review of Dr. No (1962) by Lorne N — 06 Jul 2010
The movie that started it all. It was Sean Connery's first really big picture. The film was constructed on a limited budget but managed to pull off movie magic and legacy.
The film houses one of the most memorable sights in cinema history. The bikini clad body of an exotic beauty as she sauntered out of the ocean like the creation of Venus. Pure visual genius.
The movie has a great blend of diplomacy and action built into the story as well as just enough technology to keep the audience riveted to the freshness of the film.
I applaud this film as a great introduction to the series and I highly recommend the film as well as the journey through the rest of the Bond adventures.
