Review of Director's Cut (2016) by Chris J — 11 Jun 2018
I had the pleasure to view this movie at Fright Fest in London and had to wait a few more years before Epic Pictures and Dread Central picked up this amazing.
It's was a crowd funded movie about a crowd funded movie but don't let that put you off. It might be a bit wacky and crazy but that is down to the main crowd funder of the crowd funded movie deciding that the film that Adam Rifkin is directing isn't the right film for Missi Pyle..... so why not make your own version of the slick hollywood movie that Rifkin is in the process of filming..
Its sounds complicated but with Herbert Blount giving his directors commentary over 'his' version of the 'hollywood' movie within the crowd funded movie you soon get into it.
It genuinely is a cleaver film!! I can't wait to get my hands on the blue-ray just so I can listen to the real directors commentary over the main feature that was hijacked by Herbert Blount.
