Review of Delgo (2008) by Ryan I — 16 Nov 2010
A little bit Romeo and Juliet, a little bit Trail of Tears, and not at all Pixar. Some of the animation is pretty, but it's not at all polished in the ways we've come to expect. The story is simultaniously cliched and not quite finished.
For example, what does Kyla do to convince the army? And how does the stampede magically cease the war between the tribes? And why in the world does Delgo learn Elder Marley's forgiveness lesson at the exact wrong moment?
