Review of Deathwatch (2002) by Carl W — 21 Mar 2008
I loved this movie. Sure, it had a shitty budget and *some* of the acting wasn't up to par, but how many times do you actually see a war movie that isn't about people fighting the other people, and instead, fight the supernatural? For me *SPOILERS, JUST IN CASE* this movie was about purgatory: doing whats right in the end to save your soul.
I think the bad guy was the one that decides (even the devil?), and because Charlie was the only one who had human left in him and was compassionate, he was the only one that went to heaven (the white mist).
The others didn't and they were forced to live out the same exact thing for forever. It seemed a bit long at times, but Andy Serkis plays a really good insane person and Jamie is just hands down amazing.
A good movie that I'd recommend.
