Wow!
My wife and I have always loved the original Death Wish, of course. So when I went to see this remake I was a little sceptical.
But Wow! Absolutely awesome. Bruce Willis of course is amazing as always in these roles.
What really makes the movie work however is the Perfect timing in regards to current events.
The excellent (surprisingly) development of Paul's wife and daughter and the depth of emotional commitment to them and the story is so far above the usual Hollywood tripe that I was totally drawn in, and held captivated.
This is an instant classic, an absolute do not miss delight. Go watch it, and you won't be disappointed. You will feel empowered and encouraged and hopeful that there are still REAL social justice warriors out there.
