Review of Death Race (2008) by Philip R — 11 May 2013
Paul W.S. Anderson directed a kick ass, deadly version of The Fast and the Furious only its about a ex-NASCAR driver (JASON STATHAM),framed for the murder of his wife, is sent to a notorious prison and is convinced by the prison's warden (JOAN ALLEN) to particiapate in a deadly kill-or be killed car race that's built with machine guns, missiles, flamethrowers, napalm, and no rules.
There were lots of great scenes in this movie and it made me want to stand up and cheer for Jason Statham. The performances of Tyrese Gibson, Ian McShane, Joan Allen, Natalie Martinez, Max Ryan, Jacob Vargas, Frederick Koehler, Robin Shou, and Robert LaSardo were fantastic.
This is a great action thriller and it's all thanks to Paul W.S. Anderson.
