Review of Dear Mr. Gacy (2010) by Keith P — 29 Mar 2011
Aka The Last Victim. I first learned of this film through a review written by my friend Paul. Contrary to most of his reviews, this was a fairly positive one so I knew the movie must have something going for it.
It does. Two things, in fact; William Forsythe and Jesse Moss. Both gave fine, believable performances. The film looks good, aside from a few anachronistic errors. Good story, decent dialogue but mainly it's the two leads you'll be concentrating on.
I'll admit to a personal bias, having long been a fan of Forsythe and finding him watchable in almost everything he's appeared, some of which has been pretty bleak otherwise.
