Danton is portrayed as a great heroic patriot of the revolution who end ups going to the guillotine due to the efforts of the evil ruthless Machiavellian Robespierre in this story of the aftermath of the French Revolution.
The scene in which Danton and Robespierre meet is nail-biting intense.
