Review of Curse of Chucky (2013) by Mary Ann B — 30 Sep 2013
CURSE OF CHUCKY delivers on every level from moody setting to edge-of-your-seat suspense and scares to a fabulous cast. Written and superbly directed by Don Mancini, who created the franchise (I'm a fan of all 6 films), CURSE OF CHUCKY goes back to its horror roots and never disappoints.
Although we all know Chucky is a murderous little scamp, Mancini skillfully manages to keep this latest edition fresh and inject it with twists and surprises that you won't see coming. It's clear why CURSE OF CHUCKY won the Audience Award for Best Film at Montreal's Fatasia Film Festival.
A must-have for any respectable horror film collection.
