Review of Cthulhu (2008) by Stoffe H — 08 May 2009
Being that this is called Cthulhu, there is not a lot of Lovecraft in this, there is a bit, but not much. This is more of "Shadow Over Innsmouth". The acting is not bad, the script is pretty good, its just not that well put together. There are a couple of creepy moments, the exploration in the sewers with nothing but a camera flash to light the way is the highlight.
Overall, it feels like it is unfinished, there should have been something more, some kind of payoff, but it is too little too late.
Please let someone make some really good, authentic Lovecraft, he deserves better, and casting Tori Spelling, huge mistake... she does look a bit like a fish though, maybe thats why.
