I heard about this movie through the Broadway show version, and it was absolutely fantastic! True, you can tell that it is a very cheesy movie, but that's what makes it so great! Johnny Depp just coming into his rise to fame is so wonderful as Wade "Cry Baby" Walker it's scary.
And Amy Locane plays the love interest of Depp very convincingly. This particular John Waters film is definitely in the running for one of his best movies by far!
