Review of Cosmopolis (2012) by Steven C — 05 Sep 2012
This is the type of film that redefines what a film can be. It revels in its uncompromisingly uncinematic approach. Instead of being a film of ideas and emotions it is a film about ideas and emotions. I can not imagine a better adaptation of Don DeLillo's novel.
All of the actors are fantastic and the direction is absolutely flawless. Cronenberg has crafted and incredible film that sits at the olympian table among his best works: Videodrom, Crash, and Dead Ringers.
This is the best film so far in 2012.
