Review of Command Decision (1948) by K D — 16 Dec 2008
Certainly a war movie... no romance, no women, lol... but it really drew me in and I actually learned quite a bit about how air raids were run in WWII. I wouldn't rank this as one of Gable's greatest performances, but he gave a convincing performance as a General who is doing what is right for the success of the war.
The politics of war also play out rather well in this film and certainly the plot makes the picture. I wish the ending would have been handled slightly better... I wasn't really sure what happened, but overall I liked this one.
