Comic Book the Movie is worth checking out if you are familiar with the nerdy comic book genre, without that context, it probably wouldn't be that funny. It isn't a laugh out loud, roll on the floor kind of funny but it is entertaining.

The sheer number of cameo appearances alone keeps your attention in the film. A worthy tribute to comic geekdom to the initiated, but not too interesting to a wider audience.
