I believe the movie Esmail intended to make was much better than the movie he wrote. The cinematography is beautiful, and the direction holds its own. The script, in the end, is what killed this movie.
The characters are flat and, at times, confusing. If it were remade, with a better script, it could be a movie worth seeing.
