Review of Colossus: The Forbin Project (1970) by Sakari L — 14 Mar 2009

40 years ago, a "computer" meant a giant calculator who eventually gets his own will and with whom you can discuss as with a human being - this Cold War sci-fi thriller seems very silly now even though it does have a serious, timeless message to it.

I keep watching these alleged classics for their delicious retro looks alone. The movie also includes the most ingenious way of getting a woman to bed (an excuse to discuss national security without the "Colossus" overhearing of course).
