Review of Coffin Rock (2009) by Matt S — 15 Feb 2010

This is a highly disturbing thriller which takes a little bit of time to get into, but once it does youâ??re gripped right through to the end. Set in Australia a woman desperate to have a baby has a drunken one night stand with a young unstable stranger. Realising that she is pregnant she must avoid the truth coming out for fear of destroying her perfect life with her devoted husband.

Itâ??s great to see B movies like this surface, and you can uncover a real gem from time to time such as this. The acting is very good and you really get a sense of the characters pain and anguish, it wonâ??t be to everyoneâ??s taste but if youâ??re a fan of the thriller genre then this one will be right up youâ??re street.

Tense and assured, this film sets a tone of B movie thrillers.
