Review of Code 46 (2003) by Cheryl M — 13 Sep 2007
If you liked children of men youll like this future film, which came outin 2005. the near fruture and global warming has drastically changed the way we live. there arnt to many safe places to live in the world, and a new identity card for the world is in place, and it is also a crime to have sexual relations so many d.
N.a strands the same as you, tough, so thorough tests are carried when ever anybody likes someone, thats how bad its gone in the future. and tim robbins, plays william who investigates fake cards being used, hes called out to a workplace where maria played by samantha morton could be trading, here he falls in love, and through circumstances which makes it illegal for these two to hit it off, he goes on the run with her hoping for a happy future, another brilliant film from michael winterbottom, a great use of structures from around the world help create a future earth, a great subject, and something you see happening in the near future like children of men it uses social issues big today, and turns it into sci fi, the charactor story too is well thought out, and morton as always, shows her acting chops, robbbins is always great, not to long, 90 mins, but does what it wants to say.
