Review of Clownhouse (1990) by Emma P — 02 Apr 2007
Victor Salva's Clownhouse isn't as bad as one would expect, yes its a movie about lunatics terrorizing young kinds in clown suits, but for being a movie in such a bad genre it actually has a good atmosphere going for it, far better than Killjoy or The Clown at Midnight.
The reason the film is well known is because the youngest boy in the film was molested by the director Victor Salva, the boys family have made sure this movie is kept out of stores, so finding a dvd isn't an easy task.
Nothing in the film is done terribly, besides maybe the sound mixing and some of the young actors are a bit off at time. its an enjoyable movie, nothing great, but worth a watch if you're one of those clown people or something.
