As far as blood-drenched action movies go, this one's highly watchable. The storyline's about as predictable as it gets, with the whole "let's stick together 'cos we're noble soldiers" schtick.
When I saw the love interest and she dropped her line about choosing who she offers her allegiance (paraphrasing really badly here) I kinda knew where things were headed. But this is a pretty movie, with the prerequisite Lord of the Rings-ish sky-lining.
.. It's fun, with plenty of eye-candy, blood-thirsty heliions and good-old-fashioned Pictish fun. Not much thinking required.
