Review of Cashback (2007) by David H — 03 Jun 2009
A wonderful blend of comedy and drama that will strike a chord with anyone who's ever had idiot coworkers, been in love, worked a night job, had a bad breakup, had insomnia, or ached at the beauty of everything around them-- especially that of women.
Just that right balance of funny and hitting close-to-home that one craves from this sort of thing, like a Kevin Smith flick. The romantic aspects may not sit well with more juvenile audiences just watching for the hijinx and nudity, but everyone else is likely to enjoy it.
The only qualm I can having about this is that I don't think the reaction in the gallery scene would ever happen, but hey, who doesn't dream that it would?
