Review of Camera Buff (1979) by Sandy S — 01 Aug 2009
One of his earliest works, Camera Buff captures the quagmire of the times in censored Poland. More provocatively itz a simple expression of a man who finds a love beyond his wholesome dreams of a home & family: when the accidental film maker awakens.
Its repercussions trap him & makes one get introspective without getting too maudlin. Many emotions like his tremor on the birth of his 1st child, the discovery of the reel pleasures, the plaudits at a film contestâ?¦.
All marked by his hiccups which show the little glitches of life are well captured. Seamless it gets you thinking.
