Review of Call Me by Your Name (2017) by Carolyn H — 26 Jan 2018
At the risk of sounding trite. This movie was lyrical and beautiful. Timothee Chalamet deserves an Oscar in a year he probably won't get one. Armie Hammer is not far behind with a wonderful supporting cast.
Truly. If you have any connection at all with your consciousness as a teenager, this will resonate. I did not think it was molestation as some have suggested - at 17 even sheltered (as I was) you knew what was at stake when you shared yourself.
This boy/man is anything but (sheltered). Truly a look back inside, and in time.
