Review of Burn After Reading (2008) by Jesus H — 26 May 2012

My first thought after the movie was - brilliant, easily 4.5 stars. Then I couldn't come up with a reason to dock that half a star, it was just one of those original idea films; so this film earns my rare 5 star treatment.

Ridiculously wacky black comedy that employs directorial tricks to fool and surprise the viewer. Reminded me of a Johnny To movie (esp. PTU) while I was watching it, and then I recall that's what my friend said about it as well. So if you are a fan of dark comedy or want to be reminded of how fucked up is this world we live in, you can do a lot worse than seeing this movie.
