As 3 buddies from Brooklyn reach adulthood, they remain close even as one is directed toward law school, another aspires to be a postal clerk, and the third gets involved in the mob. The story is set in 1985 when outside a steakhouse John Gotti's men gunned down Gambino family boss Paul Castellano.

A mob war ensues which impacts the three friends' lives in unexpected ways. Strong performances from the actors, a steady narrative flow, and a credible sense of the 1980's make this film a pleasure to watch.
