Review of Bran Nue Dae (2009) by Kryztoff M — 11 Feb 2010

What a complete fucking disappointment. I had so much hope for this film, was the Australian Industry finally going to bring some showmanship to the table, to cast celebrities and maximize on their presence, to make an upheat film that knew it was a film, the teaser trailer got me excited with the potential, but from the moment I watched the full length trailer all my hopes for this film have gone down hill and upon watching it this was proven true.

Even the best song, the Bran Nue Dae song, isnt even in the film until the credits. The only part that succeeded with this film for me was Ernie Dingo. What a waste. Maybe if an actual feature film scriptwriter was brought on board it may have worked, but guess what, a play is not a film people.
