Review of Boys Don't Cry (1999) by John S — 28 Jun 2010
A devastating and honest story about honesty, hate, and love. hilary swank and chloe sevigny are perfect in their roles following a tragic romance rooted in intolerance. its very graphic, yet it seems like something that needs to be seen - it's an important subject matter no matter what.
(complete side note - in the film, I can't BELIEVE no one doubted hilary swank as a 21-year old boy. MAYBE she could have been like an 11 year old, but I felt like it was fairly obvious... voice, body, etc).
