Its based off of a true event that is pretty shocking. it takes place on january 30th, 1972 in free derry, northern ireland. protestant protesters were conducting a peaceful march for more civil rights from the catholic-dominated majority, when a british paratrooper regiment occupying the area started firing live rounds into the crowd of unarmed civilians.
13 ppl were killed, and 14 more injured. if u rly wanna understand what it was like that day, this movie is the closest you'll ever get. ive done my research on this event, and this movie is really accurate.
