Review of Bloody Murder (2000) by Josh S — 16 Dec 2009
This is a lacklustre Friday the 13th rip off. A group of camp counsellors, a madman in hockey mask. There is even a Crazy Ralph character, warning of the counsellors impending doom. Now I was not expecting high quality from a slasher film.
But this really is devoid of anything that makes a slasher film fun to watch. It has no nudity, a low body count, no scares and when it comes to gore? The few kills that do happen, take place off screen.
Even the stalking and woodland chase scenes are shot in broad daylight. What about the psycho killer? Well he is called Trevor. He wears a Jason hockey mask, a Michael Myers jump suit and wields a Leatherface chainsaw.
Yep this is one ridiculous film. All I can say is that you will get a good laugh from this if nothing else.
