Say what you will about Mel Gibson but he is a very talented actor who's presence here elevates a rather basic revenge film. The direction is strong and faultless, just a shame the film has garnered the marketing it deserved from the distributor.
Strong characters and the connection between father and daughter strengthens the final third. A good film and one that deserves a wider audience.
