Review of Blind Mountain (2007) by Abby C — 27 Oct 2007
More a piece of agitprop than a character-driven movie. Stories about tragedy & injustice in modern rural China are a dime a dozen - which dilutes some of its power. I wish the portrayal of good & evil, predator & prey were not so mutually exclusive.
Real life exists in shades of grey - even the downright evil are nothing less than human. Black and white are too easy. The ending, however, is PITCH PERFECT!
