Review of Blancanieves (2012) by Matthew S — 06 Sep 2013
Stunningly shot and exceptionally conceived adaptation of The Brothers Grimm fairy tale and a highly entertaining "re-visit" of the silent film genre. This is the film puts the overly-acclaimed The Artist to shame.
While based on a fairy tale, there is nothing in this film appropriate for a child. This is a lush, dark and creative adult film. The cinematography is exceptional and the editing so sharp that the viewer is never dull.
This tribute to the silent film style is an unforgettable film experience. In addition, Cohen Media Group has given the movie a great transfer to Blu-Ray. A must see.
