There is a portrayal that the singer made of Africa was the target of criticism from feminists, and African activists, who accused her of playing an extremely colonial film, full of cultural syncretism.
This without taking off the leopard clothes since thousands of dollars made by white European-Americans. Promoting a certain ''mixture'' TRIBAL AFRO with EUROPEAN LUXURY, which in my view wasn't interesting.
Since she has stated in previous works that she would like to avoid a ''cultural lemonade', but it didn't look like in this movie.
