Loved the story, the exciting action plot and the message. I know people are rightly sensitized about white guys co-opting Asian hero roles. But the white guy in this movie is not the protagonist, he's more of a lost well meaning catalyst between the two Asian stars.
Bruce Lee, after all did teach Westerners, who revered him and respected Marial Arts, so it's not a ridiculous plot subversion to include a white student enmeshed in San Francisco's Chinatown Kung Fu world of that time.
This movie serves the spirit of Kung Fu well.
