Review of Biloxi Blues (1988) by Jason R — 16 Nov 2008
Full Metal Jacket was much more believable than this film. I think this was trying to be funny, but I didn't laugh...or was it trying to be "tough," in which case it really was laughable? Christopher Walken babysitting a bunch of puerile fools in the squalor of boot camp may not tickle your funny bone, but he does give a notable performance.
Also noteworthy are the performances of Broderick and Siemaszko, stars of two of the best eighties comedies of all time (Bueller and Three O'Clock High).
