Review of Bigger Than Life (1956) by Sean N — 11 Jan 2010
Ahead of it's time semi melodrama in great looking technicolor. James Mason is diagnosed with a rare form of arthritis and is prescribed some experimental cortisone. He gets hooked and slowly descends into a psychosis.
It's kinda like Repulsion but in the suburbs and as things get more intense it's not some cheesy watered down in-the-era stuff as Mason eventually tries to kill his son while quoting the bible.
To quote bad boys 2 "this shit just got real".
