Review of Best F(r)iends: Volume 1 (2017) by Colton R — 26 Apr 2018
Sestero is a modern day Kubrick. The layers of economic, social and psychological commentary are buried under a thin veil of a "simple" dark comedy. The silence of the main character cleverly portrays the silence Americans felt as the stock market crashed in the great depression.
However, typical American entreprenuer (Wiseau) gives the economy (main character) a second chance by reintroducing gold (gold standard). Later in the movie, Wiseau is pushed of a cliff (great recession) and Sestero embarks upon independence once again(pulling out of TPP and rebelling against globalism )Many, many other layers to enjoy.
Well done!
