Review of Beloved Sisters (2014) by Paul K — 18 May 2016
Pretty good - three hours long with lots of detail and a thoroughly believable narrative, although not all based on recorded fact. It appears that Schiller married one sister and had a deep and lasting relationship with the other, too; the rest is dramatic licence.
Despite being in German and subtitled, this was absorbing throughout. Lots of detail of eighteenth century printing processes, as well as a complex emotional tale and the historic context. Some nice sexy bits too! (interestingly without any explicit nakedness on screen).
