Review of Battle Royale (2000) by Keenan S — 13 Nov 2012
Battle Royale is an action film that is not for the faint of heart, but is also one of the best action films ever made. Since this film inspired The Hunger Games, I was curious to see it, and I was not disappointed to say the least.
The action is gritty, bloody, and brutal, but this film also has important messages to say about violence and the world as a whole. It's also a film that does a great job at looking at its many characters and providing depth to them despite having a large cast.
It's a great film that is well worth seeing.
