Review of Barton Fink (1991) by Aaron E — 08 Mar 2009
Another masterpiece by the Coen bros. I generally prefer their comic side, but Barton Fink is the exception that proves the rule: cryptic, visionary, metaphorical, this work about the Artist and the rose of Inspiration goes far beyond a mere representation of an artist and its crisis, it is a metaphor of art itself, and how it is affected by the artist's personal experiences.
Every time I watch it, I find some new, intriguing details.
